Single deck car parks for most of the module types we produce can be installed without fixed foundations on an existing surface car park. Provided that the pavement is a conventional multi-layer tarmac surface, it is designed to bear the load applied by the tyres of a loaded truck. Our base plates are designed to apply to the pavement a comparable load, hence needing no other support than the pavement itself. Case by case it will be demonstrated by calculation utilizing data from geotechnical tests (most often SPT/CPT). This is also valid in seismic areas as we include in the steel supply devices that bridge across two consecutive base plates when and if required.
